I’m Yana,

the heart behind Compassion Lab

I grew up without a safe space… so I became one.

I was raised in a home marked by domestic violence. I learned early to stay quiet and make myself small to keep the peace. I carried that pattern through seven years in corporate, through relationships, through burnout, until I finally couldn’t anymore.

That’s exactly the territory I now walk with others.

I work with women who have a hard time expressing themselves in their relationships, who want more clarity about who they are and what they actually need, who are ready to finally speak up.

Because knowing what you feel is only half of it. Being able to say it, and stay connected while you do, that’s what changes things.

Nonviolent Communication is a framework rooted in universal human needs and values. It combines simple guiding principles with a clear communication process. Practicing it helps understand your own experience, and turn a potential conflict into a collaborative dialogue.

Authentic Relating

Authentic Relating is a set of practices, games, and conversations designed to foster honesty, empathy, and deep listening. It offers simple yet powerful structures that help people express their true selves, hear others fully, and create relationships that feel mutual and nourishing.

Inner Child Work

A therapeutic approach aimed at reconnecting with the "inner child," addressing its unmet needs, reparenting and integrating. The method frees up creativity and joy, and upgrades adult choices that were still being driven by childhood pain.
